Sulphur capping and rubber capping methods achieved reasonable results when strength level is lower (i.e. 60MPa). For the high strength concretes, rubber capping method cannot be recommended. Sulphur capping method can be used but the sulphur caping compound must be tested and comply with AS 1012.9 and the capping thickness must be 1-2mm.
