If you lost aggro - use taunt. Even if you havent lost aggro and you know you wont need it soon (for some fight mechanic), use taunt anyway it will boost your aggro. Or even better - use mad dash from boss to exit melee range and then use taunt, it will give you + 30% aggro (instead of +10% for meele range).
